For a brief time at Best Buy, the Gateway LT2712U was on sale for only $199. This was by far the best deal for your money, and the cheapest netbook out there.   To get a netbook, that is this great, for such a cheap price was a fabulous deal.  This is similar to the Acer netbook, mainly because Acer owns Gateway.  However, the Smooth finish, the large keys, and the light weight of this netbook is an added plus.
